Qi Gong translate to 'energy gathering'. These gentle yet powerful exercises are borrowed from Eastern cultures, and have a long and rich tradition of keeping people healthy by positively affecting the entire being - from head to toe and inside and out. Because these exercises are low-impact and non-aerobic, we accumulate more energy than we expend as we practice, contributing to more vibrant and energized feeling. Tai Chi is actually a form of Qi Gong.

5 Tibetan Rites

The Five Tibetan Rites have been called "the ancient secret of the Fountain of Youth" due to the rejuvenating quality of the exercises.
Borrowed from Eastern cultures, these gentle practices help relax your mind and body, while increasing your personal energy. These exercises have a long and rich tradition of keeping people healthy by positively affecting the entire being - from head to toe and inside and out. These practices provide a good foundation and nicely complement other healthy practices you may be incorporating into your life. Classes begin with a light warm up, move on to specific movements or exercises designed for specific body functions and systems, and end with a brief meditation. Practitioners of all levels are welcome.

Relaxation and Meditation

Relaxation and meditation have been found to be effective methods for managing stress and improving health. We offer a variety of guided relaxation and meditation classes to accomplish this. Using
our senses (visualization, sound, touch, smell) as vehicles, we tap into our mental processes and remove ourselves from unhealthy situations and thoughts. Gradually, we retrain our minds to engage in more peaceful and productive thoughts.

Strategies to Address Stress

It
's no secret that high levels of sustained stress have a negative impact on our health. In fact, stress is a major contributor to illness, absenteeism, and disease. With a focus on health and wellness, we discuss the effects of stress and ways to minimize those effects, as part of a healthy lifestyle. We delineate the different kinds of stress, examine personal stressors, and provide tools and coping mechanisms that individuals can use to assess and restructure their lives, bringing them to a happier, healthier state.

Reiki Healing Sessions

Reiki is an energy practice used for stress reduction and healing. This technique helps us tap into an unlimited supply of "life energy" - known as Chi or Ki. A Reiki treatment is a non-invasive hands-off or light touch method that clears energy blockages in the body that manifest into physical ailments. A session is soothing and refreshing and adds to a healthy lifestyle. Individual Reiki sessions may be scheduled by calling 315-436-2331.
